A word of advice…

A word of advice:
If you are coming down with the flu or a cold, do not start working!

My symptoms were this: head felt pressurized, body felt heavy, wobbly, and just felt bad overall. I did not know I was sick necessarily. I thought it’d go away. So, I start my job and the first night I only worked 3 hours. No big deal, right? Well, they liked me so much they asked me to work 7 hours the next day instead of 3. (Here is where I made the mistake… ugh!) So that next day, it is going great. I am having fun. But by the last hour of my shift, I was losing my voice. You can’t hang up. You have to wait until your supervisor comes on and logs you out. After working an extra hour past my shift, I finally used my cell and started calling ppl. I needed OFF.
*On a side note, I was surprised how many guys still thought I had a sexy voice when it was almost gone. Oh well?
Long story short, they finally got me off of there. The next day I woke up and had lost my voice COMPLETELY. So now, 2 days later, I still do not have a voice. I went to the doctor and he said I had a severe case of laryngitis. He predicts that after a week I’ll be able to work again. *sigh*

Enough about my advice.. let’s talk about the calls. You know, I expected a lot of “Mmm baby.. yeah.. take that…bleep bleep bleep” type of calls. Don’t get me wrong– there were definitely a few of those. But what caught me off guard were the guys that spent who knows how much money to just have a conversation. One guy sang to me and another asked me to sing to him (even though I had almost no voice left). There was another guy that watched a TV show with me on the phone. They just needed/wanted company.

I promise to delve into actual conversations later on, but for now I think I am going to call it a night. It is 2:35 am here. Good night.. err morning! :)

Hello world!

October 27, 2008 at 7:06 am (Uncategorized) (, )

As crazy as this may sound, I thought I already typed my hello world post. So, if you get this more than once, please excuse the abundance.

I am 28 years old. I live with my very caring and supportive boyfriend. Neither of us have ever been married. Nor do either of us have any children. I have a Master’s degree and he works in healthcare. By the sounds of it, you’d think we have the whole world in our hands! Yeah Right!

March of this year was when it all began. My boyfriend was finsihing up school and we were relying on one income… mine. He caught a staph infection and the doctor hospitalized him. So as the story goes he had no health insurance at the time and now we owe over $12,000 in medical expenses.

Now let’s zoom back to this month. We’ve been paying steadily but it is just never enough. Well, one day someone overheard me in a restuarant and came up to me and said, “You’d make a wonderful phone actress! Here’s my card.” (That was over 2 years ago.) What that person said has never left my mind. Now at the time I thought a phone actress was the voice recordings like “Welcome to At&T!” Boy was I wrong!

Needless to say I just recently was hired and I decided to share my journey as I go through it. :)

The disgusting parts of my job..

December 6, 2008 at 4:37 pm (Uncategorized) (, )

I have had a million calls these past few weeks wanting beastiality. I just cannot roleplay sex with an animal. I get the most hang-ups when I fail to do this task.

Then there are guys that talk about sex with children. I don’t mind when they talk about it in fantasy terms but when they start saying they have really done it (whether they are lying or not) it makes me sick and uncomfortable.

Last but not least… it took me from Nov 29 to today, Dec 6, to finish this small post. That is how much it disgusts me!

Posing as a Transvestite…

November 16, 2008 at 8:33 pm (Uncategorized) (, )

Haha! Okay so the company I work for has several lines. When you get a call you will hear a “tag.” LIke for example, when I hear “Barely Legal” I know I am only 18 yrs old. So when I hear the phone tag say, “transvestite,” then I know I am now a woman trapped in a man’s body. I suck at being a transvestitie. Why? Because I always forget I have a male part now. LOL Sure, it sounds easy, but until you are in the situation where you talk like a girl, you act extra feminine, and you still have a penis… you’ll never understand. hehe

So, as I said before, I suck pretending to be a man stuck in a woman’s body. BUT my last two calls have been GREAT! The last 2 transvestite calls were SO EASY!!! They literally did all the work. I answered the phone. The men (both were real men) told me what they looked like and what their fantasies were. They got off and then got off the phone. Both calls lasted about 45 minutes. Pretty cool, huh?

The downside to using your voice for a job…

November 1, 2008 at 5:21 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , )

I haven’t written much because I have had laryngitis for a week straight now. *sigh* Not fun! This is coming from a girl who loooooooooves to talk! Seriously! My mother said when I was baby she was certain I said stuff to just hear myself talk. haha

So nonetheless I have not worked at all this week. This is bad. I am guessing I won’t work for at least another week unless by some miracle my voice returns full swing. But I highly doubt it. I did go to the doctor though. He said I have bronchitis and laryngitis. I thought it was the flu due to my symptoms, but I was wrong. So, I took a Z-pac (antibiotic) and I have been drinking hot water with lemon and honey like CRAZY!! I think I am swimming if that tells you how much I have been drinking.

Now, I have sent my boyfriend out on a mission. There is something out there called “Throat Coat.” It apparently became well-known when Clinton and Dole were campaigning. They suffered from laryngitis and they took this tea stuff and BAM!! Back to normal!! So yeah, I am hoping Wal-greens sells it. *crosses fingers*
